Animal Control

ANIMAL AT LARGE

Section 505.02 of the Hilliard City Code prohibits owners of a dog, cat, or other domestic animal to permit it to run at large within the city.  Our communications center notifies Franklin County Animal Control to respond unless the animal is vicious, bitten someone, or is creating a risk to public safety at which time an officer will respond.

Contact the Hilliard Division of Police at 614.876.7321 to report animals at large.

BARKING AS A NUISANCE

Section 505.16 of the Hilliard City Code prohibits owners of a dog, cat, or other domestic animal to create a disturbance.  NOTE:  This law states that the animal must annoy or disturb inhabitants from two or more separate residences in order to trigger police enforcement.

Contact the Hilliard Division of Police at 614.876.7321 to report nuisance conditions or for any other questions concerning animal complaint issues.
