Arbor Day and Trees in HilliardPosted April 27, 2018 in Your Community
Hilliard celebrated Arbor Day, a holiday that shines light on the importance of trees, at J W Reason Elementary School with a great group of third graders.
Mayor Don Schonhardt read a proclamation and City Forester Drew Todd discussed the role of trees in our community. Each third grade student had the opportunity to add soil and plant a Hardy Rubber Tree in the front lawn of their school. This is an annual event for the City of Hilliard, who is recognized as a ‘Tree City USA‘ community.
