Assistance Offered for Furloughed Federal WorkersPosted January 23, 2019 in Community Alert
Mayor Andrew Ginther and Columbus City Council announced plans to help those impacted by the government shutdown with utility bills. The Department of Public Utilities will waive penalties to any furloughed federal employees who receive a utility bill from the City of Columbus and are unable to pay. Those eligible will make minimal monthly payments until the shutdown is over. To begin the process, furloughed employees should call 614-645-8276.
