The City of Hilliard’s Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) is looking for qualified residents to serve on the board.
The BZA is a quazi-judicial body that consists of seven electors (residents) of the City of Hilliard appointed by Hilliard City Council. Each member appointed serves a five-year term.
The purpose of the BZA is outlined in the City Code in Chapter 1106. Generally, the BZA rules on variances to the City’s zoning code, both residential and commercial. The BZA meets as needed – when an application has been filed, on the third Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Hilliard Municipal Building.
Candidates should have professional experience in the fields of architecture, landscape architecture, planning, urban design, engineering, geography, law, real estate or related fields, and should submit a resume and letter of interest.
