City of Hilliard Recreation and Parks Department is working with Rock City Church, Hilliard Church of Christ, Mayfair of Hilliard and Heartland of Dublin to provide free box lunches from local businesses to Hilliard seniors on the next four Fridays.

Lunches are available to all seniors ages 55 and older at Rock City Church, 4311 Anson Drive, from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Boxed lunches will be served drive-thru style in the church parking lot to ensure safety for everyone. In addition to lunch, each senior will also receive a gift bag of activities.

“Rock City Church and Hilliard Church of Christ reached out to us because they saw a need to help seniors in our community, and the partnership evolved from there,” said Hilliard Senior Center Coordinator Dave Judson. “This will give seniors who may be tired of cooking or getting fast food something to look forward to. Many of us are used to seeing each other multiple times a week at the senior center.”

Those who plan to participate should RSVP by calling (614) 876-0747. RSVPs are not required but encouraged.
