Celebrate Independence Day in Hilliard!
Check out the schedule of events below to be sure you don’t miss the fun!
The Independence Day festivities begin at 2 p.m. with carnival rides, games and festival food until 10 p.m. at Roger Reynolds Municipal Park. Wristbands and individual tickets will be available to purchase at the event.
This year’s 4th of July Parade, themed Home of the Free Because of the Brave, kicks off at 10 a.m. at the Franklin County Fairgrounds, proceeds to Main Street to Norwich Street, heads west on Cemetery Road to the roundabout, then to Scioto Darby Road and ends at Heritage Middle School. Expect traffic delays in the area due to road closures for the parade. The parade awards will be announced at Hilliard’s Station Park at 6 p.m.
Carnival rides, games and festival food will reopen at 12 p.m. at Roger Reynolds Municipal Park. There will be live entertainment at 6 p.m. by the popular hip-hop band Lt. Dan’s New Legs to get you excited for the big firework show! Thank you to Beer Barrel Pizza and Grille for sponsoring the band.
The fireworks will start at dusk (9:45 p.m.) at Roger Reynolds Municipal Park and will be accompanied by a 30-minute family friendly soundtrack. Please be sure to stay behind the safety barriers to protect you from the fireworks.
*The Hilliard Family Aquatic Center will be open until 9 p.m. and Hilliard East Pool will be open until 7 p.m. on July 4th.
