David Weinhold Hired as Drug Recovery Court CoordinatorPosted February 17, 2021 in Administration
The City of Hilliard has hired David Weinhold to serve as Drug Recovery Court Coordinator, a new position added to expand the City’s recovery court services. His first day was Feb. 16.
Weinhold has a master’s degree from Arizona State University in social work and a bachelor’s degree from Valparaiso University in social work.
He was previously employed as an Alcohol and Drug Program Manager at Southeast Healthcare for more than 20 years. Throughout his career, Weinhold has also worked with a domestic violence program and as a therapist.
Hilliard’s Drug Recovery Court started in 2019 to help people dealing with substance use disorder find a path away from jail and toward a drug-free life. As Drug Recovery Court Coordinator, Weinhold will provide recovery support at a local level to those suffering from addiction. With the addition of this new position, Hilliard Recovery Court will be able to more than double the number of participants it serves.
