Do your part: Fill out the 2020 Census

Posted April 1, 2020 in Community Alert by Anna Subler

Make every member of the Hilliard community count by completing the 2020 Census.

Local census leaders are encouraging people to fill out U.S. census forms either online or by phone to comply with the stay-at-home order.

The Census counts every person living in the United States every 10 years. Results help determine how to allocate hundreds of billions of dollars in federal funding for roads, hospitals, fire departments, schools, and other critical programs and services.

The results will also determine the number of seats each state will have in the U.S. House of Representatives, and they are used to draw congressional and state legislative districts.

The Census asks for all people who reside in your house or will reside in your house on April 1, 2020, their birth dates, race and origins. It will take 10 minutes or less to complete the questionnaire.

To complete your census, go to and click on “respond”. If you do not have the invitation code on the mailer, you can enter your physical address and complete the questionnaire.
