‘Drop In’ for a Swimming Lesson this Summer!

Hilliard Recreation and Parks Department is offering drop-in and swim programming this summer. These classes are a great way to gain new skills without the commitment of swimming lessons!

All classes are held at Clyde “Butch” Seidle Community Pool, 4450 Schirtzinger Rd.

Registration not required. Participants should simply arrive to the pool for class.

Teen/Adult Drop-In and Swim

June 16, 18, 29 and 31; July 19 and 21, 8:15-8:45 p.m.

$10 per person

This beginner class allows teens and adults a safe space to learn how to swim and become more comfortable in the water.

Sea Dogs

Saturdays, June 11-July 30 (except July 2), 11-11:30 a.m.

$5 per child (2-5 years old)

This parent-child workshop lets parents help their children, who may not be ready for traditional group lessons, become comfortable in the water. Objectives include water adjustment, basic movements, and swimming fundamentals. This class is designed as a stepping stone between group and parent child lessons. Children must be toilet trained. Parents are required to be in the water for this program.

Sea Pups

Saturdays, June 11-July 30 (except July 2), 10-10:45 a.m.

$5 per child (6-36 months)

This parent-child workshop lets parents help their children, who may not be ready for traditional group lessons, become comfortable in the water. Objectives include water adjustment, basic movements, and swimming fundamentals. Children who are not toilet trained should wear a swim diaper.
