Hilliard Beggar’s Night Scheduled for Oct. 29Posted September 3, 2020 in Community Events
Doctor? Robot? Pirate? Super hero?
What costumes will your kids wear on Beggar’s Night?
Thanks in part to resident feedback on the City’s “Talk2Us Hilliard” community engagement website, we plan to move forward with this year’s annual trick-or-treat night from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29.
In light of possible COVID-19 concerns, we wanted to hear from you about whether you think it is safe to hold Beggar’s Night and what steps can be taken to ensure everyone’s safety.
Almost 90 percent of respondents said they think trick-or-treating can safely happen – especially with some basic precautions. Suggestions included wearing masks, having the adult handing out candy stay outside their house and wear gloves, not letting ghosts and goblins grab their own candy from the bowl, and ensuring children have parental supervision.
We’ll provide more details closer to Halloween, but for now thanks for sharing your thoughts on “Talk2Us Hilliard!”
