Hilliard Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni Show Support

Woman standing next to sign thanking first responders

We already knew we served a wonderful community, but we have been reminded once again this month during the COVID-10 pandemic by the outpouring of support.

Although we cannot accept food donations at this time — we are so appreciative of everyone who has offered — many of you have found other ways to show support. We have received numerous messages, phone calls, homemade cards and other acts of kindness. Some of you have even offered to put out your blue lights now, instead of waiting for the Light Ohio Blue campaign in May.

A special thank you to Arlene and Dave Shearer, alumni members of our Citizens Police Academy, for this creative show of support. We also want to say thank you to the Meijer and Menards stores on Hilliard Rome Road, HER Realtor in Gahanna, and Cam International Market on Park Mill Run Drive. These businesses have assisted our agency with getting emergency supplies, including PPE essentials of gloves and masks to protect our officers. Thank you!

We encourage all of you to show support for your first responders and health care workers by following the Stay-At-Home order and staying home. Our agency is fortunate to serve a wonderful community.
