Hilliard Division of Police Coronavirus Update: March 27Posted March 27, 2020 in Community Alert
Many residents have asked questions regarding how law enforcement agencies, including Hilliard police, will enforce the stay-at-home order issued by the Ohio Department of Health (ODH).
In summary, we’re asking residents and businesses to read the ODH order and voluntarily comply by staying home and not gathering together. This allows our officers to focus on what we need them to be focusing on: protecting and serving the City of Hilliard and Norwich Township.
As with other law enforcement agencies, we will use our best judgement with each situation. Our primary focus is to educate the community on the dangers of not complying with the order.
We do plan on continuing to be visible in neighborhoods, grocery stores and essential retailers, and answering the calls of our residents, as needed. We know community policing works best when the public polices itself.
If you have questions about COVID-19 you can reach the Ohio Department of Health’s COVID-19 call center at 1-833-4-ASK-ODH.
Remember, we’re all in this together.
