Mayor Don Schonhardt is pleased to announce the hiring of Julia Baxter to fill the position of Human Resources Director for the City of Hilliard. Before working for Hilliard, Baxter practiced employment law as an attorney for six years.
“We are excited to bring Julia onboard to the City’s management team,” said Mayor Don Schonhardt. “Her extensive law background will benefit not only the City’s Human Resources Department but also her role as a Director. I am confident that Julia’s experience reviewing policies, knowledge of the employee discrimination and family medical leave acts mixed with her personable approach to Human Resources will make her the perfect addition to our team”.
Julia received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from The University of Toledo and her Juris Doctor Degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.

Baxter began her employment with the City of Hilliard yesterday, August 7, 2017. She replaces Hilliard’s long-serving Human Resources Director, Gerry Edwards who retired in June. Welcome, Julia!
