The City of Hilliard has partnered with local volunteers, businesses, and residents to host another “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” community clean-up event.

On Friday, Oct. 22, volunteers, will concentrate on outdoor service projects in three Hilliard neighborhoods: Conklin, Luxair, and Colonial Lanes.

Do you know someone in one of these neighborhoods who could use help with projects such as leaf raking, flower bed clean-up, and trash removal? Give us a call by Friday, Oct. 15, to schedule a project at (614) 334-2367.

The event takes place during Make a Difference Week which focuses on encouraging people to get active in their community and do charitable work to help those in need. Projects include things such as trash collection, landscape clean-up, and leaf raking.

“It’s all about helping our residents and connecting them to resources and other community members who want to help,” said Assistant City Manager Dan Ralley.

All landscaping materials and tools needed for the clean-up event were donated by Home Depot, he said.

Other partners of Neighbors Helping Neighbors include BMW Financial, Rotary Club of Hilliard, and Hilliard Kiwanis.
