Hilliard Schools, City Playgrounds to Reopen June 10Posted June 9, 2020 in Recreation & Parks
Hilliard City Schools and the City of Hilliard are reopening all playgrounds on Wednesday, June 10, in alignment with new guidelines by the State of Ohio.
To prevent the spread of coronavirus, the playgrounds have been closed since March by the order by Gov. Mike Dewine.
“We know many parents and children will be excited about this reopening, but we do encourage people to continue to take basic health safety precautions,” said Ed Merritt, Director of Parks and Recreation. Those using the parks are advised that park equipment will not be sanitized. Users are required to stay home if they are sick, to maintain a safe social distance from others, to use the playgrounds at their own discretion, and to sanitize hands before and after use.
