Hilliard’s Environmental Sustainability Commission Hosts a Polystyrene Recycling Event!
Posted December 9, 2019 in Recreation & ParksHilliard’s Environmental Sustainability Commission is hosting a polystyrene (Styrofoam) recycling event! Don’t throw out your polystyrene after the holidays, bring it to the Community Center at 3800 Veterans Memorial Drive on Saturday 28 from 10 a.m. – noon to be recycled! Just drive up to the Community Center and someone from the ESC will even unload your car!
Please remember the following:
- Remove tape, paper, and any other contaminants from the packaging.
- No food-grade polystyrene is allowed. This includes meat packaging, cups, plates, egg cartons, etc., unless it is brand new and has never contacted any food or beverage.
- Keep polystyrene peanuts in a sealed plastic bag. They will blow away if they are not confined.
