What does the Human Resources Department do?
Hilliard’s Human Resources Department provides assistance, support and direction on all matters related to the management of the city’s human resources. Matters include employee recruitment and compensation, labor relations and collective bargaining, disciplinary and grievance hearings, work rules and policies, citywide safety and training programs as well as employee appraisals and development.

What employment benefits does the city offer?
Regular full-time employees receive health insurance that includes medical, dental, vision and prescription drug coverage. Other benefits include vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, flexible spending account, tuition reimbursement and employee assistance program. Yes, the City offers seasonal employment in our Recreation and Parks Department and Operations Department. Examples include lifeguards, camp counselors, ball field ground crew members, etc.
