Mosquito Spraying Planned for July 2Posted June 25, 2019 in Administration
In order to reduce the adult mosquito population in advance of the City’s July 4 Freedom Fest celebration, mosquito spraying is planned in Roger A. Reynolds Municipal Park for 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, weather permitting.
Franklin County Public Health handles mosquito spraying for the City of Hilliard. The agency recommends you take these steps to help protect your family from risk of mosquitos:
- Wear insect repellant containing DEET (follow package directions).
- Limit outdoor activity at dusk and dawn when mosquitoes are most active.
- Eliminate all standing water around your home (mosquitoes breed in water and it doesn’t take much time).
