Due to the wet spring weather, renovation work at the Clyde “Butch” Seidle Community Pool, formerly the Hilliard East Aquatic Center, has been delayed. The opening of the pool, originally scheduled for June 1, has been delayed until Saturday, June 8 at noon.

“We’re just as eager as everyone else to get the summer pool season started at the beautiful all-new Clyde “Butch” Seidle Community Pool,” said Director of Recreation and Parks Ed Merritt. “We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding.”

The new pool building is the second round of renovations the pool has seen in the last two years. In 2018 the facility received many pool-specific improvements that included a complete repair of the main pool floor, a zero-depth entry, splash pad, new filtration system and 14-foot water slide.

While construction at the pool continues, patrons may visit the Hilliard Family Aquatic Center or the spash pad at Hilliard’s Station Park.
