Hilliard residents will see a lot of updates and additions in their parks soon, one of those being a new, handicap accessible playground at Roger A. Reynolds Municipal Park.

To prepare for construction, the yellow and red playground at Roger A. Reynolds Municipal Park is closed for demolition.

“We have a lot of great amenities coming to the city,” said Director of Recreation and Parks Ed Merritt.

“Our department has taken a really good look at the existing parks and facilities and made recommendations for some major improvements and additions,” he said. “Making an investment in the community is a win-win for everyone.”

The new playground equipment will be installed in June. Check the City’s social media pages for updates on the park as well as the opening day announcement.
