The City of Hilliard operates two municipal pools: the Hilliard Family Aquatic Center and the Clyde “Butch” Seidle Community Pool.

Pool memberships go on sale every January and can be purchased online, by mail or in-person at the Hilliard Community Center. Send a completed membership form and a check payable to the “City of Hilliard” to the Hilliard Recreation and Parks Department at 3800 Veterans Memorial Drive, Hilliard, Ohio, 43026.

Yes! Hilliard Family Aquatic Center and Hilliard East Municipal Pool are seasonal outdoor facilities and pool passes are valid at both locations.

Hilliard Recreation and Parks offers swimming lessons and activities for children at all skill levels.

Hilliard maintains nearly 27 diverse parks for exercise, outdoor activities and community events. With bike paths, open spaces, baseball fields and more, Hilliard’s parks offer more than just green space. Visit the parks page to learn more.

Residents may purchase community garden plots behind the Phyllis A. Ernst Senior Center or on Leap Road, south of Davidson Road. The gardens offer a fun, community-centered experience that allows residents to enjoy growing their own flowers and vegetables.  Visit the parks page to learn more.

An annual fee of just $15 gives members access to special events, educational speakers, exciting trips and regular activities including fitness and sports, arts and crafts, cards and home-style lunch. Members also get free income tax preparation from AARP, health checks and screenings. You can find all Senior Classes on our Classes & Camps page.

Located at the beginning of the seven-mile Heritage Trail, Hilliard’s Station Park marks the location of an old railroad station and Hilliard’s original town square. The park boasts distinctive architectural qualities that reflect its rich history.

A DORA is a designated outdoor refreshment area where residents age 21+ may purchase and carry alcohol.

Residents age 21+ may purchase and carry alcohol within a designated outdoor refreshment area (DORA) Monday – Sunday from Noon – 9 p.m. To participate, purchase an alcoholic drink from one of the vendors listed below and enjoy it outdoors within the DORA boundaries. Alcoholic drinks must be served in designated plastic cups. No cans, glass bottles or outside drinks are permitted.

The official DORA Vendors are Otie’s Tavern & Grill, Abner’s Casual Dining, The Old Bag of Nails Pub, Local Cantina, Starliner Diner, Legacy Smokehouse, Crooked Can, Makoy Center, Yabo’s Tacos, Sexton’s Pizza, and HilGarten.

Yes, we do. We collaborate with local organizations to offer high-quality sports experiences to local athletes, and that includes having well-maintained ball field facilities for independent organizations and teams to use. Visit our sports leagues page to learn more.

We rent community facilities and park shelters to community organizations, groups and citizens. There are five shelter houses in the Roger A. Reynolds Municipal Park that can be reserved for a non-refundable fee of $100 per day. (Non-profit organizations are eligible for a reduced rate of $50 per day.) Information regarding other park and meeting rooms can be found on our facility’s rental page.

If you notice damage to city parks or property, contact Hilliard 311 and the city will repair the damage.
