City of Hilliard Rescinds Face Covering Requirements

Posted July 9, 2020 in Public Health by Mary Smith

Hilliard City Manager Michelle Crandall has rescinded an executive order requiring facial coverings in Hilliard and will defer to the Ohio Department of Health order that was put into place on July 8, 2020, requiring facial coverings in Franklin County.

“We want to support what the state has implemented,” said Crandall. “It’s still vital that residents and visitors of Hilliard wear masks to slow the spread of COVID-19.”

Ohio Department of Health has ranked Franklin County at an alert “level 3”.  If we would reach an alert “level 4,” then “stay at home” requirements would be instituted by the State of Ohio. The City of Hilliard asks residents and visitors to adhere to the Ohio Department of Health order.
