Scioto Darby Road Resurfacing Begins Friday With Expected Three-Week Timeline
Posted September 30, 2021 in Streets and Public ServiceMotorists should expect delays during the next three weeks as Scioto Darby Road is resurfaced between the western Franklin County line at Big Darby Creek to Cosgray Road.
The resurfacing project is a partnership between the City of Hilliard and the Franklin County Engineer’s Office. These improvements will include the southern portion of Cosgray Road between Scioto Darby Road and Latham Park.
The project, which spans approximately four miles, will begin Friday, Oct. 1, with an expected three-week timeline to end around Oct. 22. Traffic will be maintained throughout the project, but motorists should expect delays during daytime hours.

All work is weather dependent and will shift if the contractor gets rained out. The work will generally be completed from west to east along the corridor. The tentative schedule is:
- Pavement milling: Friday, Oct. 1- Sunday, Oct. 5
- Pavement prep and tack: Wednesday, Oct. 6
- Resurfacing: Thursday, Oct. 6 – Saturday, Oct. 16
- Final pavement marking: Monday, Oct. 18 – Friday, Oct. 22
