Welcome to Hilliard, Battelle for Kids

The City officially welcomed Battelle for Kids to Hilliard today! The independent, national not-for-profit organization moved their offices from Grandview to Hilliard.

Battelle for Kids is a not-for-profit organization that works with school systems and communities to improve education and realize the power and promise of 21st century learning for every student.

There were some very special guests and speakers at the ribbon cutting ceremony, including: Karen Garza, President and CEO of Battelle for Kids; Jon Husted, Ohio Secretary of State; Stephanie Kunze,Ohio Senator; Don Schonhardt, Mayor of Hilliard; Libby Gierach, Hilliard Chamber Director; Bob Taft, Senator and former Governor of Ohio; Jim Mahoney, Battelle Board of Directors and former Battelle Executive Director and Russel Austin, Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary to the Battelle Board of Directors.

It’s an honor to have such an outstanding organization in our community and we wish them nothing but the best with their new Hilliard offices!
