The City of Hilliard has hired Ethan Yorke as a Maintenance Technician in the Operations Department, specializing in the Forestry Crew.
Yorke was employed by the City in a part-time capacity this summer as a seasonal parks worker and is now a full-time member of the Operations Department. He will be part of a team that is responsible for the removal, pruning, stump grinding, and replacement of City-owned street trees, landscape maintenance, and mowing.
“I’ve really enjoyed working with the staff here in Hilliard, people really take pride in their jobs and have a heart for service,” Yorke said. “I’m excited to be on the team full-time and serve this community with my knowledge of trees and the outdoors.”
Yorke brings experience as a park ranger for Highbanks Metro Park and earned an associate’s degree in Parks and Museum Education from Hocking College. He’s also a graduate of Worthington Kilbourne High School.
In his free time, Yorke enjoys nature and wildlife photography and of course, being outdoors. He recently got married to his wife Taylor, and the two live in Columbus.
Welcome to the City, Ethan!
