Hilliard Innovation Ambassadors

  • This group of City of Hilliard employees across various departments volunteers to solve problems, share creative solutions, and work with Hilliard-based start-ups to prototype new technologies throughout the community.
  • The small and mighty team of public servants brings an innovative mindset to deliver City services and pursue new opportunities.
  • The ambassadors’ goal is to create a culture focused on creativity, process improvement, best practices, and efficient service delivery

Partnership with Hilliard City School District

  • The City of Hilliard works alongside Hilliard City School District (HCSD) to provide experiential learning opportunities that help students to make informed decisions about future careers.
  • As Ohio’s 10th-largest school district, HCSD serves more than 16,300 students in grades K-12. In 2020, the district launched its “Ready for Tomorrow” strategic vision, which supports targeted programs, internships, and job opportunities for students.
  • The City’s partnership with Hilliard City Schools trains the next generation of tech professionals and prioritizes local workforce development to keep future jobs in Hilliard.

Workforce Development

  • The Hilliard City School District is committed to creating a robust K-12 Workforce Development Program that prepares students for high-demand careers by integrating career awareness, exploration, and hands-on workforce experiences.
  • Hilliard City Lab is part of the High School Tech Internship Program, where students gain practical experience, industry-recognized credentials, and direct pathways to employment or further education.
  • The City of Hilliard is fostering local economic growth through business partnerships and pre-apprenticeships that engage students and ensure long-term success for both our youth and community.
