City Hires Young as Maintenance Technician

Jordan Young

The City’s Operations Department has a new hire this week, Maintenance Technician Jordan Young. Jordan joins the department’s forestry crew, where he will assist in the care and maintenance of City-owned street trees, including removal, pruning, stump grinding, and replacement.

Jordan joins the City from a position with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), where he assisted with forestry work, roadwork, plowing, and snow and ice removal, among other responsibilities.

In his new role, Jordan is looking forward to the forestry aspect of his job. “I love being outside, working with the team,” Jordan said. “Everyone seems pretty cool and I’m excited to be here.”

Jordan is from St. Paris, Ohio, and in his free time enjoys fly fishing. He has a dog; a five-year-old German Shepard named Dakota.

Welcome to the City, Jordan!
