9/11 REMEMBRANCE CEREMONY | The community is invited to join Hilliard Division of Police and Norwich Township Fire each Sept. 11 at First Responders Park as we remember the 9/11 terrorist attacks that claimed nearly 3,000 lives in New York; Washington, D.C.; and Pennsylvania. |
AUTISM AWARENESS DAY | April is Autism Awareness Month, and Hilliard Division of Police opens its doors to our residents who have autism and their families. This event provides participants the opportunity to socialize with First Responders in a calm and reassuring environment. |
CELEBRATION AT THE STATION | Celebration at the Station summer concert series runs June through August every Thursday evening. All concerts feature live bands from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Dine at one of the Old Hilliard restaurants. Adults 21+ can enjoy adult beverages outdoors in the designated outdoor refreshment area from 12 - 9 p.m. daily. |
EARTH DAY | Join the City of Hilliard and the Environmental Sustainability Commission for Earth Day every April at the Franklin County Fairgrounds. Enjoy activities for kids and opportunities to learn about composting, energy efficiency, conservation and more. During the event, there are also recycling collections going on: Habitat for Humanity ReStore, Community Computer Alliance Technology, paper for shredding, and Styrofoam. |
FALL FESTIVAL | Fall Festival welcomes the change of season with family fun! With food trucks, live music, games, inflatables, crafts, pumpkin picking, a hayride, and more. It's an event that's fun for all ages! |
FREEDOM FEST | Held on Saturday, July 1, 2023, Hilliard's celebration of our Independence Day is one of the biggest days in Hilliard! We kick off the Freedom Fest festivities in Roger A. Reynolds Municipal Park with live music by a national artist, food trucks, inflatables and games for kids and adults. Spend the day celebrating the USA with us in the City of Hilliard. We top the night off with a spectacular fireworks show. |
LAW ENFORCEMENT TORCH RUN FOR SPECIAL OLYMPICS | Every June, Hilliard police participate in this run, which garners awareness and raises money for Special Olympics of Ohio. The run begins at Kroger on Cemetery Road and finishes at First Responders Park. |
LUNCH TIME LIVE! | During select Fridays in the summer, enjoy lunchtime concerts at Weaver Park. Bring a lunch, sit back, and relax. |
MOTIVATION AT THE STATION | Motivation at the Station runs from June through August. Work out and have fun on Saturday mornings in the summer with our yoga and fitness series. Featuring local instructors, this event is great for your body and mind. Free classes start at 8 a.m. and are 50 minutes long. |
NATIONAL NIGHT OUT | Every August, Hilliard Division of Police hosts the community for National Night Out, sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch. The event heightens awareness of crime and drug prevention, as well as encourages community and police interaction. |
OFF THE HOOK FISHING DERBY | Catch a fish and submit a photo for a chance to win a prize! This event is held at City ponds during the weekend of Father's Day. Fishing licenses are not required. Looks for the signs at Municipal Park, Latham Park, Britton Farms, and Hayden Run Village Park. |
POLICE MEMORIAL CEREMONY | Each spring, the City of Hilliard holds a Peace Officers Memorial Day service at First Responders Park to honor all Ohio police officers killed in the line of duty. The event is now held May 19. It is especially poignant as it marks the anniversary of the loss of Hilliard Officer Sean Johnson, whose end of watch occurred on May 19, 2016. Officer Johnson was the first Hilliard officer killed in the line of duty since the department's creation in 1957. The public is encouraged to come pay their respects during this free event at First Responders Park. |
PRESCRIPTION PILL DRUG TAKE BACK DAY | Hilliard Division of Police joins other communities every October for the Drug Enforcement Agency's National Drug Take Back Day. Residents can use a simple drive-thru service at the police department, 5171 Northwest Boulevard, to drop off their unwanted or expired medication in pill form. It’s typically held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on a Saturday. |
SPROUTS NIGHT OUT | A summer event that happens in June and July. Families can come and enjoy a fun night for the whole family. With live music and kids activities, it's an unforgettable evening! Event runs from 6 to 8 p.m. |
TREE LIGHTING | Join us the first Sunday of December to ring in the holiday season in Old Hilliard and Weaver Park! There are fun holiday activities for kids, to include live music for Hilliard City School students, Cram the Cruiser, and Santa makes an appearance for all the kids. The highlight of the event is the lighting of the City's tree. Event runs from 4 - 6:30 p.m. |
