Rudd joins City in Community Development Department

Ryan Rudd has joined the City of Hilliard as Stormwater Coordinator in the Community Development Department.

In his new role, Rudd will oversee compliance with stormwater regulations, manage inspections, and maintain public and private stormwater infrastructure.

Rudd comes to Hilliard from Westerville, where he was an environmental specialist working on stormwater reconstruction. Previously, his work took him around the country, focusing on architectural engineering and construction.

Already, Rudd is looking forward to relating his experience to this new position.

“I can take some of the architectural engineering and hands-on work that I’ve done in the past and put it into play here for this job,” he said. “It seems like it’s a great fit for all the background I’ve had.”

Living in Delaware, but with family in Hilliard, Rudd is excited to get started.

“I’m looking forward to the new adventure, the new job, and all the new development in the city,” he added.

Rudd and his wife share a young daughter. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, which includes a husky named Elsa, and taking on DIY projects around the house.

Welcome to the City, Ryan!
