A long-standing Main Street property in Downtown Hilliard is set for renovation, bringing new activity to a familiar location.

The building at 4045 Main Street, formerly known as Ketchum’s Garage, is being renovated for future occupancy by two businesses. The project will restore and repurpose the existing structure, which has served the community for decades in various uses, including as an automotive service center and earlier as a Chevrolet dealership.

One portion of the building will become the new downtown home of Cyclical Nature, a well-known local bike shop that previously operated on Main Street. The business plans to offer bicycle repair and fitting services, retail sales, and related products, with additional programming such as e-bike rentals and group rides anticipated in 2026.

“Cyclical Nature has long been a valued part of Hilliard’s small business community, and we’re excited to welcome them back to this important downtown location,” said Angela Zody, Hilliard’s downtown manager. “Projects like this support local entrepreneurs while helping maintain the character and walkability that make Downtown Hilliard a destination.”

The remaining portion of the building will be occupied by Bakes by Lo, a local bakery relocating from Center Street Market. The move will allow the business to expand its production capacity while remaining in Hilliard.

The property is owned by Westwood Collective, which purchased the building in May and elected to renovate the existing structure rather than demolish it. According to the developer, the project is intended to support adaptive reuse and continued reinvestment along Main Street.

“We couldn’t be more excited to continue our work on Main Street,” said Andy Warnock, founder and CEO of Westwood Collective. “Bringing Cyclical Nature back downtown and providing additional capacity for Bakes by Lo allows both businesses to grow while staying rooted in Hilliard.”

The renovation project received a combined $70,000 grant from the Hilliard Development Corporation, awarded late last year to support improvements to the property. Grant funding was approved for exterior concrete, painting, artificial turf, lighting, signage, bike racks, landscaping, and outdoor furnishings.

Construction is expected to be completed this spring. Additional details, including opening timelines for both businesses, will be announced in the coming months.
