The City of Hilliard has welcomed Jackie Yeoman as Deputy Planning Director.
In her new role, Yeoman is responsible for a variety of duties related to community development and city zoning ordinances. She will work closely with contractors, inspectors, engineers, architects, planners, and residents to ensure sound urban planning, land use management, and community development programs.
With a background in municipal planning from the Planning Department at the City of Columbus, Yeoman has extensive experience with land use planning and community planning and zoning. Most recently, she worked with private planning and engineering consulting firm Burton Planning Services, where she helped communities around Ohio with planning needs.
Yeoman grew up in the Hilliard area and is looking forward to giving back to the community.
“It’s just really cool to be able to be local and invest in the community that I live, work, and play in,” she said. “I’m really excited to get to know all the residents better and help build a better place for everyone to live and work and enjoy.”
Yeoman currently lives in the Hilliard City School District with her husband, their three-year-old daughter, and their Australian Shepherd, Boomer. In her free time, she and her family like to have fun at parks and pools. She also recently learned how to play pickleball and is loving the new sport!
Welcome to the City, Jackie!
