Hilliard is a smart, tech-savvy city on a global scale, with the certification to prove it.
The Intelligent Community Forum announced this week the Full Certification of Hilliard, Ohio. This distinction provides objective validation of policies, programs, and accomplishments in our technology-based community. ICF has recognized Hilliard as a leader in broadband connectivity, workforce development, digital inclusion, innovation, community engagement, and sustainability.
Hilliard is the first city in the United States to be certified as an Intelligent Community. It is also a two-time Top7 Intelligent Community and a current finalist in the 2024 Intelligent Community Awards. The Intelligent Community of the Year will be announced at the ICF Summit in Barcelona, Spain, in early November.
“I had the privilege of auditing Hilliard for the Certification program,” Robert Bell, ICF-co-founder said. “What I found was more than an assembly of great projects driving economic growth and community engagement. It was the careful network of connections among those projects that gives them the power to accelerate the community forward.”
Meeting ICF’s Certification standard validates Hilliard as a community that supports the growth of innovative businesses, meets its talent needs, and provides inclusive prosperity and a high quality of life.
