Officers participating in the polar plunge

Members of the City of Hilliard Division of Police are prepping for the โ€œchill of a lifetimeโ€ once again.

Several officers will be participating in the 2022 Columbus Police Plunge for Special Olympics as part of Team Blizzard Bobcats in support of Hilliard Special Olympics.

This yearโ€™s plunge will take place Feb. 5 at Alum Creek State Park in Lewis Center.

Officer Brandon Long, who serves as a coach with Hilliard Special Olympics, said itโ€™s an event the athletes look forward to every year.

โ€œThis is a great way for us to connect with the program and our residents,โ€ said Officer Long. โ€œRumor is Chief of Police Eric Grile may even take the plunge if we raise enough money โ€” so we need your donation!โ€

The team consistently is ranked among top donors in the state. Support the Blizzard Bobcats be joining the team or donating here: https://www.classy.org/team/392766
