Operations Director accepts position in Delaware

Andrew Beare, the City of Hilliard’s Director of Operations, has accepted a new position as Assistant City Manager with the City of Delaware.

Beare’s last day with Hilliard will be Dec. 13. He begins his new role in Delaware Dec. 16.

Before becoming Director of Operations, Beare had served as an Operations Administrator in Hilliard. He joined the City in 2020, overseeing Hilliard’s urban forestry section of the Operations Department. He also has a passion for wildlife and helps the community with wildlife conflict issues.

“Andy’s knowledge, leadership skills, and dedication to being a life-long learner have benefited our Hilliard team and our community immensely,” said City Manager Michelle Crandall. “While he will be greatly missed, I’m excited to see him take this next step in his career as a local government professional manager.”

In the fall of 2022, Beare graduated with a Master of Public Administration degree from Franklin University.

No timeline has been set for identifying Beare’s replacement.
