MLK Day Heart for Service Volunteer Fair & Community Luncheon Returns in 2024

Heart for service volunteer luncheon

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day is the only federal holiday designated as a National Day of Service to encourage all Americans to volunteer.

Get involved in your community and honor Dr. King’s legacy by attending the MLK Day Heart for Service Volunteer Fair & Community Luncheon on Monday, Jan. 15, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hilliard Community Center.

For $10, attendees can buy a handmade bowl by Hilliard City School District students that’s filled with soup (along with sandwich and a dessert) made by the Kiwanis Club of Hilliard. All proceeds will be donated to the Hilliard Food Pantry to help the fight against hunger in our community.

Bring a non-perishable food item to be entered in a raffle to win a City swag bag.

Explore a variety of local non-profit agencies at the Volunteer Fair, and make a commitment to serve your community.

Those who attend the MLK Day Heart for Service Volunteer Fair & Community Luncheon will also have the opportunity to participate in the Peace Walk, share a dream on the handprint wall, build an MLK puzzle, watch a film, and enjoy the DJ, balloon twister, and more!

Thank you to our event sponsors: Hilliard City School District and Kiwanis Club of Hilliard.
