Environmental Sustainability Commission

Hilliard City Council is accepting applications to fill two full-term vacancies on the city’s Environmental Sustainability Commission. These terms would begin May 2026.

Candidates shall be residents of the City of Hilliard and/or the Hilliard City School District and qualified by experience and/or training in matters related to conservation such as education, energy, civil construction and engineering, green building, landscape design, environmental engineering, transit, consulting, law, recycling and solid waste, air and water quality, and environmental health.

Generally, the purpose of the ESC is to fulfill the mission of reviewing existing green policies and advising City Council, the City Manager, and City officials in the initiation and development of programs that will create or enhance sustainable practices within our community.

The ESC meets at 5:45 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month at the Municipal Building, 3800 Municipal Way.

To apply for this vacancy, fill out the application and attach the necessary documentation including a resume by April 10, 2026.
