City Adds Hopkins to Role in Community Development

The City of Hilliard has hired Sandi Hopkins as the new Administrative Assistant in the Community Development Department.

Hopkins graduated from The Ohio State University and most recently worked for a small CPA firm. She also has previous experience in managing software groups.

Hopkins lives in Hilliard and is excited to give back to the place she calls home.

“I like being involved in my local community and this role will give me a unique opportunity to be hands-on to all that’s happening in the City’s development,” Hopkins said.

In Community Development, Hopkins will help meet the needs in the divisions of Building Standards, Engineering, Planning, and Transportation and Mobility. She will serve as the Clerk for the Board of Zoning Appeals and help residents with permits, among other responsibilities.

“My goal is to make things run smoother for our staff so they can do their jobs effectively,” Hopkins said. “If there’s an opportunity to help residents and make their lives easier, I want to take advantage of that and leave them with a positive impression.”

Hopkins has two children who both recently graduated from Hilliard Darby High School. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, being outdoors, and spending time with her family.
