The City of Hilliard is welcoming a new business.
Command Alkon marked the opening of its new Center of Hardware Excellence and corporate headquarters Feb. 18 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house at 4949 Edwards Farms Road Unit 100.
The company, which provides software and technology services to producers of concrete, asphalt, aggregates and cement, is entering its 50th year in business. The new facility will serve as the company’s headquarters and a center for hardware development and collaboration.
Chief Executive Officer Martin Willoughby said in a statement that Ohio has played an important role in the company’s history and that the new headquarters positions the company for continued growth.
According to the company, the Hilliard location will support customers across North America and internationally. Its technology is used by construction materials producers to manage operations, logistics and production processes.
“We are excited to welcome Command Alkon to Hilliard,” said David Meadows, Hilliard’s director of economic development. “The company’s decision to locate its headquarters and hardware center here reflects the strength of our business environment and workforce. We look forward to supporting their continued growth and success in our community.”
The headquarters represents a continued investment in central Ohio as the company expands its operations and marks a half-century in business.
