Hilliard: Best Suburb To Do Business for second straight year

On Friday, the City of Hilliard was named the Best Suburb To Do Business by the readers of Columbus CEO magazine.

Central Ohioans have once again recognized Hilliard as a leader in the local business community. On Friday, the city of Hilliard was named the Best Suburb To Do Business by the readers of Columbus CEO magazine for the second year in a row!

The city is home to a diverse economic base, from high-tech companies and homegrown businesses to internationally respected corporate headquarters. There are approximately 1,104 companies in Hilliard that employ more than 17,000 people and contribute to more than $1 billion in estimated annual sales.

Hilliard also won this coveted award in 2023.

Hilliard has attracted major corporations in recent years, including French battery company Forsee Power, who held its grand opening event in September on Lyman Drive.

“Hilliard is the perfect place to grow a business because we have the right people, resources, and infrastructure to support sustainable growth,” Hilliard City Manager Michelle Crandall said. “The great vision and efforts of Hilliard City Council, City staff, and the City’s economic development team have all contributed to this prestigious honor for a second consecutive year.”

As an important part of the growing Columbus Region, the City of Hilliard is the intersection of friendly, small town living and big city opportunities. Since 2021, more than $3 billion has been invested by businesses across our city. Hilliard business sectors include high-tech and manufacturing, health care, financial institutions, government, commercial districts, and more. No matter the industry, developing in Hilliard promises strong economic value, a rich work-life balance and — most of all — an excellent place to call home.

Best of Business is Columbus CEO’s longest-running recognition program, and the only one in which readers have the final say through its online voting platform.

The city will be recognized in the Fall 2024 issue of Columbus CEO and at columbusceo.com, as well as at a special event this fall.
