Hilliard communicators earn five PRSA awards

The City of Hilliard’s Community Relations Department won five PRism awards from the Central Ohio Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) at its awards ceremony May 22.

Central Ohio the PRism Awards are designed to honor exceptional public relations activities from a diverse mix of businesses, industries and backgrounds throughout central Ohio.

Top corporations, agencies, nonprofit associations, colleges and other organizations across Central Ohio compete annually for the prestigious awards.

The PRism Awards showcase outstanding work across more than two dozen categories, with the top prize in each category honored with a PRism Award and the runner-up receiving an Award of Excellence.

The City of Hilliard won the PRism in the following categories:

  • Marketing Communications – Consumer Products and Services: Hilliard Paves the Path to The Well
  • E-Newsletter: Business E-Newsletters (Business Matters and Around Downtown)

The City of Hilliard won the Award of Excellence in the following categories:

  • Series Publications: Your Hilliard
  • Best Use of Video: Hilliard Business 60
  • Creative Tactics: Path to The Well Roundabout Education Video

“We’re incredibly proud to be recognized with these prestigious awards, which highlight the dedication, creativity, and collaboration of our team,” said Director of Community Relations David Ball. “From keeping residents and businesses informed during a complex, multi-phase road project, to crafting targeted newsletters for our business community and magazines for our residents, our team exemplified its strength in teamwork.”

The Central Ohio PRSA Chapter is a leader in furthering the development of Columbus’ public relations professionals. Founded in 1950, the organization has grown to serve more than 250 members in the agency, corporate, government and nonprofit sectors.
