Hilliard is adding a new kind of entertainment experience to its growing mix of dining, retail and recreation options.
Gamer, an interactive entertainment concept that invites participants to become contestants in their own game show, has selected TruePointe for its first U.S. location. The European-based concept will bring a series of fast-paced games and challenges to Hilliard, giving groups an opportunity to compete, collaborate and have fun together.
Unlike a traditional game show, Gamer puts participants in the action. During a 60- to 90-minute experience, teams will compete in challenges involving strategy, skill, coordination and chance while earning points and working toward a final victory.
The concept is designed for a variety of groups and occasions, including corporate events, celebrations, date nights, gatherings with friends and family outings. The venue will also offer soft drinks and European craft beers.
For Gamer’s German founder, the Columbus region’s growing population, strong business community and German heritage were among the factors that made the area an appealing location for the company’s U.S. launch.
The addition is another step in TruePointe’s development as a destination for people to gather, dine, work and spend time in Hilliard.
Gamer plans to use its Hilliard location as the foundation for future expansion throughout the United States. The opening date has not yet been announced.
