City welcomes Hoyng as Public Service Director

The City of Hilliard has welcomed Kyle Hoyng as its new director of Public Service. In his role, Hoyng will oversee municipal operations related to infrastructure, rights-of-way, facilities, public lands, fleet, and urban forestry management and maintenance.

Hoyng’s experience includes serving in multiple Central Ohio municipalities, as well as in the private sector. Most recently, he served as city engineer for the City of Marysville.

He is a graduate of The Ohio State University, where he earned a degree in civil engineering.

“I fell in love with the public sector,” Hoyng said. “Working with the public, there’s a greater sense of pride in your work because you have the ability to make a positive impact on an entire community.”

Looking ahead, Hoyng said he is excited to build upon the strong work ethic and culture that already exist among City of Hilliard employees.

“I’m excited to get started and to work with everyone in Public Service and across the City,” he said. “Living here, I know the customer service is already outstanding for residents, and together we can look for ways to make it even better.”

Hoyng lives in Hilliard with his wife and two children. He enjoys playing golf and is proud to have scored a hole-in-one.
