Drunch Eatery + Bar, an all-day elevated brunch restaurant, will be part of the TruePointe development coming to Hilliard next year.
Drunch serves creative, locally sourced dishes and specialty cocktails, aiming to provide an exclusive experience for brunch lovers. This will be the restaurant’s second location.
Signature made-to-order dishes include banana bread French toast, chicken and waffles, gumbo-style shrimp and grits, frittatas, and crab cake “bennies” – a take on eggs benedict.
Equity, the developer behind the $250 million transformational mixed-use project, identified Drunch as “an ideal fit” for TruePointe’s vibrant live, work, and play environment.
“Their commitment to delivering a unique and unparalleled culinary experience resonates strongly with the vision that Equity has for this expansive development project,” stated Aaron Heath, the Senior Vice President of Brokerage at Equity and the Retail Advisor for TruePointe, in a release.
It was the ideal location for Drunch, as well, according to co-partner Denisa Sutz.
“We turned down four other locations waiting for this one because we love what’s happening at TruePointe,” Sutz said. “Theres a lot behind the scenes at TruePointe we wanted to be part of and grow there.”
Designed to be Hilliard’s first true live-work-play community, TruePointe will feature 42,000 square feet of high-end retail and restaurant space, luxury apartment buildings, surface and garage parking, and a 115-room Home2 by Hilton on Trueman Boulevard just south of Davidson Road.
Advanced Drainage Systems (ADS), a company that currently houses its employees in two separate locations in Hilliard, will move its headquarters and serve as TruePointe’s anchor tenant.
The development will be surrounded by green space, miles of walking trails, a six-acre lake, a dog park, and fitness centers. The development will also offer 350,000 square feet of Class A office space on the last remaining land parcel fronting I-270 in Hilliard.
The open concept design for Drunch calls for patio seating and an inviting, open, and colorful space, Sutz said. She expects the restaurant will seat 90 to 110 people at a time.
Initially, Drunch will operate from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. but hopes to evolve and grow, she noted.
“The food itself is what Drunch really prides itself on,” she said. “We’re looking forward to serving everyone in Hilliard.”
