Summer Camp Registration Begins Jan. 22

Summer is still months away, but it’s never too early to plan for camp! Especially when the City of Hilliard is offering exciting options like History Express Camp, Field Explorers Camp, and Kidstruction Camp!

Residents can register for all summer recreation camps starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 22.

Non-residents can register for camps held at the Community Center starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 29. Camps held at the schools are available for non-residents to register for at 9 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 22.

This year, Hilliard is offering its popular enrichment-style day camp at Hilliard Community Center, Hoffman Trails Elementary School and Hilliard Station Sixth Grade Building.

Campers must be ages 5 ½ to 11 by June 1 and have completed kindergarten through fifth grade.

Here are the camps:

Summer Rec Camp

Hilliard Community Center
9 weeks offered
Camp activities include outdoor group games, sports, swimming, arts and crafts, nature, science experiments, treasure hunts, and more.

Summer Rec Camp

Hilliard Station Sixth Grade Building
8 weeks offered
Camp activities include outdoor group games, sports, swimming, arts and crafts, nature, science experiments, treasure hunts, and more.

Summer Rec Camp

Hoffman Trails Elementary
8 weeks offered
Camp activities include outdoor group games, sports, swimming, arts and crafts, nature, science experiments, treasure hunts, and more.

Field Explorers Camp

Municipal Park, Cedar Shelter House
6 weeks offered
Children play outdoor games in the park and on the playground while learning environmental stewardship and conservation by identifying native and invasive plant species, finding bugs and other wildlife, through nature walks and art, and by participating in park clean-up days. Must like playing outdoors as we will enjoy hot summer days outside in the Cedar Shelter and under the canopy of trees at Roger A. Reynolds Municipal Park. Swimming will take place at the Hilliard Family Aquatic Center on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

History Express

Weaver Park
1 week offered
All aboard as we travel back in time to learn about Hilliard’s Heritage. Campers learn the lifestyles and experiences that allowed the Hilliard community to grow and thrive.

Kidstruction Camp

Various locations
1 week offered
Kids will learn the ins and outs of building a new community center. This camp is full of hands-on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) learning opportunities. This year, Kidstruction campers will get to go swimming at the Hilliard Family Aquatic Center on Monday, Wednesday, & Friday.
