Summer Rec Camp

Refund Policy:

No refunds will be granted after May 1 and any refunds processed prior to May 1 will incur a $50 processing fee.

Rec Camp-Community Center

This enrichment-style day camp is held at the Hilliard Community Center.

Camp hours are 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. weekdays from June 10 through August 16 (camp will not be held at this site the week of July 1-5). Camp activities include outdoor group games, sports, swimming, arts and crafts, nature, science experiments, treasure hunts, and more. All main camp activities occur from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., with “before camp” starting at 7:30 a.m. and “after camp” until 5:30 p.m.

Campers must be ages 5.5 – 11 by June 1, and have completed full-day kindergarten through the fifth grade. It is advised to activate your online account before the registration date and complete the required medical questionnaire for each camp location you intend to enroll in (section 00).

Resident registration opens January 22 at 9 a.m. and non-resident registration opens January 29 at 9 a.m. for this site.

Rec Camp - Hilliard Station School

Rec Camp - Field Explorers Camp

Field Explorers Camp is held at Municipal Park

Children play outdoor games in the park and on the playground while learning environmental stewardship and conservation by identifying native and invasive plant species, finding bugs and other wildlife, through nature walks and art, and by participating in a park clean-up day each week.

Wear closed toed shoes, bring a hat, sunscreen, cool clothing, a water bottle, pack a lunch, and snack (no refrigeration provided). Must like playing outdoors as we will enjoy hot summer days outside in the Cedar Shelter and under the canopy of trees at Roger A. Reynolds Municipal Park. Swimming will take place at the Hilliard Family Aquatic Center on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. This program is rain or shine, in the case of inclement weather, participants will take cover in the shelter house and/or the Hilliard Community Center.

Rec Camp - History Express Camp

All aboard as we travel back in time to learn about Hilliard’s Heritage. Campers learn the lifestyles and experiences that allowed the Hilliard community to grow and thrive. Our partners at the Hilliard Historical Society provide speakers, docents, and tours of the Historical Village at Weaver Park. Camp is held at the Norwich Pavilion in Weaver Park. Pack lunch, snack, and water bottle. Tennis shoes required. No swimming during this camp but a walking field trip to Hilliard’s Station Splash pad will occur on Wednesday and Friday. Campers must be ages 5.5 – 11 and have completed full-day kindergarten through 5th grade.

Rec Camp - Kidstruction

At this construction camp girls and boys learn the ins and outs of building a new community center. Campers experience land and water surveys and go to the job site (hard hat provided). We will test their skills building with different materials and professionals at Ruscilli Construction Co and Ascension Construction Solutions share their STEAM knowledge with hands on learning. Pack lunch, snack, and water bottle. Tennis shoes required. Swimming will take place at the Hilliard Family Aquatic Center on Monday, Wednesday, & Friday. Campers must be ages 5.5 – 11 and have completed full-day kindergarten through 5th grade.
