By Charter, the City’s Law Director is legal counsel to City Council, the City Manager, the City’s boards and commissions, and all administrative offices of the City. The Law Director also is responsible for the prosecution of misdemeanor criminal complaints and housing and building code violations filed in Hilliard Mayor’s Court and in Franklin County Municipal Court. Finally, the Law Director is responsible for reviewing and approving all legislation and contracts.
