City Services: Street and Traffic Lights

street lights

Did you know the same crews who plow the streets after a snow storm and collect leaves in the fall also repair street and traffic lights?

The City of Hilliard’s Operations Department is responsible for maintaining all of the street and traffic lights throughout the City. If this sounds like a big job, that’s because it is. The City of Hilliard has over 2,000 street lights and 32 signalized intersections within its boundaries.

How to report an outage

Residents are encouraged to report a street or traffic light that is not functioning properly by submitting a Hilliard 311 service request. Just log in or create an account and input the location of the light.

Crews typically work during the day, so they look to residents to let them know when a street light isn’t working. Once a service request is filed for a street or traffic light, it’s fixed as soon as possible.
