Boards and Commissions

Hilliard City Council’s boards and commissions are made up of elected and appointed officials who advise Council and City Staff on various topics.

These individuals volunteer their time and talents to the City to help provide exceptional quality of life in an enriching environment, to balance growth, and to provide exceptional governmental services while preserving our ties to tradition and community spirit.

Members of boards and commissions are committed to upholding City of Hilliard values, programs, and resources to deliver the community experience our residents deserve.

In the case of the Planning and Zoning Commission, the group may approve preliminary and final plats that conform to the subdivision’s platting ordinance.

Aging in Place Committee

The Aging in Place Committee advises City Council and Staff on matters affecting older adults and their caregivers. Click here to learn more.

Environmental Sustainability Commission

The Environmental Sustainability Commission reviews existing environmental policies and practices. The ESC advises City Council and City Staff on programs that help Hilliard reach its sustainability goals. Click here to learn more.

Hilliard Public Arts Commission

The Public Arts Commission makes recommendations to City Council and the City Manager regarding the appropriation, funding, selection, acquisition, maintenance and placement of public art. Click here to learn more.

Planning & Zoning Commission

P&Z advises on land use, planning issues, and proposed zoning code amendments. It reviews zoning requests, conditional use requests, plats, development plans, and requests for sign variances. Click here to learn more.

Recreation and Parks Advisory Committee

RPAC provides recommendations and advice to City Council and City Staff on a variety of topics, including development of existing parkland; recreational facilities; trails and bikeways; health, wellness, and recreational programming; and updates to strategic plans. Click here to learn more.

Records Commission

The Records Commission provides rules for City record retention and disposal, reviews applications for one-time obsolete records disposal, and schedules record retention and dispositions submitted by municipal offices. Click here to learn more.

Shade Tree Commission
