Environmental Sustainability Commission

Hilliard City Council is accepting applications to fill one partial term and one full-term vacancy on the city’s Environmental Sustainability Commission. The partial term ends June 30, 2025.

Candidates shall be residents of the City of Hilliard and/or the Hilliard City School District and qualified by experience and/or training in matters related to conservation such as education, energy, civil construction and engineering, green building, landscape design, environmental engineering, transit, consulting, law, recycling and solid waste, air and water quality, and environmental health.

Generally, the purpose of the ESC is to fulfill the mission of reviewing existing green policies and advising City Council, the City Manager, and City officials in the initiation and development of programs that will create or enhance sustainable practices within our community.

The ESC meets at 5:45 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month at the Municipal Building, 3800 Municipal Way. Meetings may also be held virtually, as needed.
