City introduces 5 new ‘no turn on red’ locations

The No Turn on Red signs at Davidson Road and Trueman Boulevard were installed Tuesday, and the others will follow over the next several months.

The City of Hilliard is installing No Turn On Red signs at five new locations starting this week. These changes are being made to improve safety for people walking and bicycling in the crosswalks at the following signalized intersections:

  • Davidson Road / Leap Road / Britton Farms Drive
  • Scioto Darby Road / Bradford Drive
  • Avery Road / Gaymon Drive
  • Davidson Road / Trueman Blvd / Edwards Farm Road
  • Avery Road / Northwest Pkwy

The signs at Davidson Road and Trueman Boulevard were installed Tuesday and the others will follow over the next several months. Davidson and Trueman will be No Turn On Red in all four directions. This means motorists must come to a complete stop at a red traffic light where these signs are posted and wait for the light to turn green before turning right or left.

See the list below for more information on approach and times of day for the new signs.

These five intersections will have new No Turn on Red signs posted in the City of Hilliard: Davidson Road / Leap Road / Britton Farms Drive, Scioto Darby Road / Bradford Drive, Avery Road / Gaymon Drive, Davidson Road / Trueman Blvd / Edwards Farm Road, Avery Road / Northwest Pkwy
